About us
Your role
We are seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist to build and manage our supplier network from the ground up. You will be the bridge between our engineering team and the external suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors who bring our technology to life - negotiating contracts, securing the best components, and ensuring our supply chain scales with us.
Your tasks
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and civil components
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers and manufacturers
- Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality
- Manage procurement processes from RFQ (Request for Quotation) through to purchase order and delivery
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand component specifications and BOM requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers during prototype and production phases to meet project timelines
- Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, and lead times
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies
- Manage and maintain an up-to-date supplier database and procurement documentation
- Support cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and volume negotiations
- Coordinate import/export logistics and customs requirements for international procurement
Your profile
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management - ideally in a hardware, manufacturing, or technology environment
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build trusted, long-term supplier partnerships
- Experience managing supplier contracts and procurement documentation
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and BOMs in collaboration with engineering teams
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple procurement workstreams simultaneously
- Proactive and structured work style with a commercial and solution-oriented mindset
- Enthusiasm for energy transition, sustainability and future energy technologies
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside engineers, project managers, and external partners
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus
- Experience sourcing hydraulic, mechanical, electronic and magnetic components
- Background in working with international suppliers across Europe and Asia
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement management tools
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
- Knowledge of Austrian or EU import/export regulations
